Spring color look: Balayage

What is Balayage?

Balayage is a freehand coloring technique where the stylist applies the color using a painting technique. Rather than using the traditional foiling or cap highlighting techniques; this is done by eye with a single brush to create the perfect sunkissed look. Balayage is low-maintenance color that can achieve many different looks from soft and natural highlights to bold contrast (such a ombre).

Is Balayage for you?

Balayage is a great option for natural hair. It is a beautiful color choice for longer, more flowing hairstyles. Loose curls and beachy tousles show off the many dimensions of color that weave through the hair. However, don’t be discouraged if you have a shorter do! This technique allows any length or style of hair to achieve multi dimensional color and come to life.

This is the lovely Patricia who came to the Studio the day before she started chemo. We think she looks wonderful!
